An official teaching guide by the MedienKompetenz Forum Südwest Foundation – jointly run by LFK Baden-Württemberg, Medienanstalt Rheinland-Pfalz and SWR – recommends Mina's Adventures for primary-school use.
From the official teaching guide “Minas Abenteuer” by Jennifer Madelmond · Ohrenspitzer, Stiftung MKFSMina's Adventures is an audio drama musical especially suited for primary-school classrooms. It works particularly well in grades 1 and 2, where the audio drama can be combined with the matching app for tablet or smartphone. Especially fitting subjects are art, German and music.

One child leaves the room; the class picks a long word like “Schifffahrtskapitän” and splits it into syllables. Small groups sing one syllable each – the returning child must guess the word. A playful entry into singing.
Following the prologue, kids invent their own places (“easy/hard to find”), describe each in a sentence and underscore it with self-made sound effects. A pocket-sized radio studio in the classroom.
After listening to track 4 (“Beautiful strange world”) kids note the places mentioned — Mud Marsh, Pearl Coast, the flying tree house, Cantus Magus — and draw their own map of the magical island.
The teaching guide is published under the Ohrenspitzer project by the MedienKompetenz Forum Südwest Foundation (MKFS) – a joint initiative of three German public-service partners.
